Role of the Board of Trustees

The board of trustees have an overall responsibility of the governance of the school.  With the Head Teacher, the board is responsible for most of the school activities.  These include budget management, organising the numbers and grades of teachers and the recruitment of staff.  They also have responsibility for approving the school curriculum, setting goals for the school and seeing that these goals are achieved. Overall, in consultation with the Head Teacher, the board sets overall strategies and agrees plans leaving the day-to-day activities to the Head Teacher.

Despite the level of responsibility and the time it can take to fulfil their roles, the board of trustees are not paid.  Parents may contact the Head teacher in the first instance should they wish to speak to any member of the board of trustees.

School Policies

There are many school policies and extracts from certain policies have been included in this prospectus.  However, the written policies are bulky and as such, we do not send out copies to parents. However, any parent who wishes to study the policies should contact the school office to make appropriate arrangements.
