Character development

We boast a bespoke programme that our team have created to develop our pupils’ character and personality. Every term the school focuses on a particular school value and takes the opportunity to solidify the pupil’s understanding of that value through Tafsir, Hadith, Names and Attributes of Allah. This is achieved through weekly assemblies, theme of the half term lesson, short reminders and deed of the week.
Throughout the year we plan an array of Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) activities to develop our pupil’s cultural capital. The school dedicates one lesson a week to deliver activities, such as:
• Black History Month
• Remembrance Day
• Anti-Bullying Week
• Cyber-Bullying Day
• Interfaith Week
• World Science Day
• World Book Day
• World Maths Day
• Careers Day
• Healthy Eating Week
• Problem Solving Workshop
• Wellbeing Week
• Brexit/ General Election and many more!
We also teach our pupils about the core values of Britain, namely, democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs. We make cross-curricular links with our Islamic teachings, our school values and the British values so that pupils are better prepared to live in a modern society as Muslims
